TRANSITIONAL FASHION ROUND UP
You know that awkward time between winter and spring? When no one really wants to shop because it is about 30 degrees cooler than when you can even dream of putting on that teeny weenie yellow polka dot bikini that Target is trying to shove down your throat? Not to mention, in my case, all that holiday extra baggage I put on that needs to find a new place to reside. Yup, that time. I've rounded up a few of my favorite staples to get through this season of longing for sun, dreaming of that beverage of choice with the pink umbrella poking out and just screaming F U N. So grab that pipin' hot coffee and browse through my picks, sorry it's not the drink with the pink umbrella, it's coming soon friends, I promise.
Who doesn't love a totally affordable, equally comfy as cute, dress up or dress down tee that leaves you feeling like a rockstar? Pair the tee with some faux leather Spanx (yes, Spanx, you know for all that holiday eating I was talking about), some booties and feel your inner rockstar come alive. Throw on some sneakers for a day of running errands with the littles, totally doable because like I said equally comfy as cute. Ladies, these pants are everything. I held off on buying because I didn't want to pay the price but they are so. worth. every. penny. You can get them at several stores including Anthropologie and Nordstrom, and they do go on sale, you just have to keep checking. I wish I had taken the plunge earlier because they are that good.

On one of my weekly, who am I kidding, daily trips, to Target I passed by the women's clothing and stopped in my tracks, this shirt screamed Madewell for a fraction of the price, yes please! Didn't even give it a second thought, threw it in my cart and went for the milk I came for (that's what I told my husband anyway). I'm a sucker for a high-waisted jean right now, you know those mom jeans I SWORE I would NEVER wear, ya, those ones. They rock my world. Just high enough to hold it in but not too high that I am having 1980 horror flashbacks of my own mom's jeans, and Madewell makes these jeans with these magic little pockets that totally flatten (again for all that holiday eating) the tummy. I'm addicted. Like really addicted. They have so many different washes, and styles, some with a 9" rise, some a 10" rise. If you haven't yet, try them on, instant 5 pound weight loss and to make it even more enticing, they run big sista, BIG, so you can size down at least one size and leave the store feeling like a new woman.

90's called and they want their skirt back. Too bad! Loving the denim mini skirt trend, so versatile and easy to transition into spring with and wear all the way through fall. I love the zipper detail on this one, and again, Madewell is speaking my language with the higher waist line. So easy to pair with tall boots, booties, sneakers, sandals, wedges, endless possibilities. Yet another reason it's a must have. Ruffle anything is my jam, love the frilly, girly look of ruffles, so much sophisticated fun in those little waves of fabric. This one is so lightweight and comfy, in the perfect pink hue for spring. I scored it on major sale (so of course that justified multiple colors), and it is still available in all colors in a couple sizes so don't wait to go check it out and you can thank me later (again, size down in Madewell)!
Top: Madewell Ruffle Sleeve Pullover
Skirt: Madewell Utility Zip Skirt 30% off right now with code stay cozy
