I love to take trips, Disneyland is our jam, but there is nothing I love more than coming HOME. Home is my refuge, it is the sun that warms my soul better than the sun anywhere else. My husband and I are polar opposites on this, I am a homebody. He is a go-getter (he secretly likes combing the racks for good deals more than I do, actually not secretly, it's out there). It's also no secret that I own too much home décor yet I still can't stop buying. I have knick knacks shoved in every nook and cranny and refuse to part with them because you just never know what occasion or mood swing will prompt me to bring it back out (can I get a sista to explain this notion to my husband). But, here is the thing, I have a very valid reason for my home décor addiction that just. wont. end. I want to be home, like a lot (homebody) so I want to LOVE the space I am hanging out in, blasting the country jams, brushing Barbie's hair and dressing up as princesses. So the pre-requisite of being a homebody is to shop until I love my space, and when I'm sick of it, go shop more until I love it all over again, right ladies? Alright, glad we are all on the same page. We moved into our new home a year ago so a few months ago I thought what better idea than to get some pictures in our home, so one day I can longingly look back on those days of snuggles, giggles, and pure mamahood bliss (because at that point I will have forgotten all about the tantrums, whining, and messes). Lucky for me one of my nearest and dearests is a professional photographer (she is magic) and was more than excited to preserve these moments for me. And now, I am excited to share these images with you!

One question I always get asked is how I keep my house tidy. So here is the secret...I don't sit down. EVER. Sorry guys, I wish I knew the secret, I wish I had a magic little formula that I could share with you all but my answer is that I'm slightly OCD (making myself feel better with the slightly) so my mind won't let me rest until every last Barbie shoe is lined up in it's closet (okay, I'm not that bad, our Barbies don't have closets). We play, we make messes, but I'm right behind the mess with the dust buster and mop. So if you all have a secret, a magic code, please share, my sanity needs it.
